Meet Tiffany Blaise

I believe that every landscape tells a story of a journey, both physical and internal. Born and raised in Vancouver, I have spent my life seeking out the majestic, dynamic landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and beyond to capture their magical energy on canvas. My artistic process is fueled by a spirit for adventure; I love painting en plein air or exploring rugged coastlines and mountain ridges to find the luminous light and movement that define my work.

My artistic style is deeply informed by my Chinese heritage. I draw inspiration from traditional Chinese painting movements, particularly the fluid expressionism of the Hong Kong Ink movement and the vast, dreamlike quality of Song Dynasty ink scrolls. These ancient influences are woven into my contemporary practice, where I often fabricate landscapes by blending multiple photographs from different journeys into a single composition. This "reinterpretation" allows me to tell a more complex story of a place.

A Path of Exploration

My journey as an artist began with a BFA from Concordia University and has led me to exhibitions across Canada and internationally, from Melbourne, Australia to Toronto. Recently, my work has been featured in solo exhibitions such as Eternal Horizons (2025) at Gibsons Public Art Gallery and Dream Dimensions (2024) at Ian Tan Gallery, where I continue to explore themes of movement and transformation. I have also been fortunate to further my practice through artist residencies in diverse environments, including the wild shores of Northern BC and the rocky cliffs of Newfoundland. Today, I work from my studio in East Vancouver, where I translate my outdoor adventures into large-scale mixed media paintings.
